Gaelic

This is our longest standing club as it has been going now for 20 years, with Mr McGuigan at the helm from the outset.  The boys and girls work twice a week (Wednesday & Fridays, 3 - 4pm) on drills and practice games that enhance their ball skills and teamwork.  We now have our own Gaelic pitch thanks to receiving nets donated by the GAA management at Croke Park.

The school team has been very successful in all competitions across the city throughout the 20 years and most of our children progress through the ranks and join their local GAA club, Doire Trasna.  Many 'old' faces can still be seen regularly in the local press having represented their club at senior level, and we take great pride in seeing how well they have done after receiving such a sound foundation here at Sacred Heart.

We are also very lucky to have support on our Friday training sessions from Mr Paul Simpson, Derry City Council and Doire Trasna.
