Welcome to Year 1!

Our school day begins at 9.00am
Morning Break is at 10.20am
Please ensure that your child has a healthy break and remember to send in a bottle of water with your child every day.
We are now beginning to build and write our own words using letter tiles, magnetic letters and whiteboards. Children will use the words in their box and try to use the phonics to sound out simple cvc words eg. cat, mat, car, far. Encourage your child to do this at home.
We are working on numbers up to 10 and will be looking at the numbers before and after. Children will also be working on number order and sequencing. The games below will help the children to practise this in a fun way.
