P5NK - No Pens Day

20th May 2026

The tide rose. The wind whispered. Tension built as our storytellers brought the coast to life—using only their voices and brilliant listening skills to hook their audience.

Our classroom buzzed with activity as we explored learning beyond pencils and paper. In Numeracy, we tackled hands-on challenges, building areas and testing our skills with times tables and division bingo—thinking fast, working together, and celebrating success.

Kindness was at the heart of our day. We created a kindness web, sharing compliments and discovering how we are all positively connected. Our teamwork was put to the test in the tricky human knot—communication, patience, and laughter were essential!

We finished with energy and fun, dancing to favourites like the Cha Cha Slide and Cotton Eye Joe, before turning our creativity to the world around us. Inspired by our coastal theme, we designed our own coasts, carefully including physical landforms and human features.

A fantastic day of learning, connection, and creativity—without a single pen!
