P5NK have made a great start to their new Report Writing topic in literacy.
As part of our familiarising stage, the children observed real news reporters by watching BBC Newsround, focusing on how factual information is clearly summarised and presented. Working in teams, they then turned key facts into short news reports and confidently presented them to the class using expressive and enthusiastic delivery.
To conclude, the class took part in peer assessment, with each group receiving two stars and a wish. This encouraged thoughtful feedback, reflection, and celebration of each other’s strengths.
