  Grandparents' Day 2023

   

  You are all warmly invited to join us on Friday 3rd February to celebrate Grandparents' Day.

   

  We will be celebrating Mass in the church at 9.15am and everyone is welcome to come back to school afterwards to have refreshments in the Assembly Hall.

  Our Guitar After School Club with Mr Whoriskey is cancelled tomorrow. It will resume as normal next week. Apologies for any inconvience.

• School Reopening

  Dear Parents/Guardians,

   

  School will reopen for all pupils tomorrow at the usual times. Breakfast Club and AR will operate as normal.

   

  Main roads are beginning to thaw but please be careful making any journey to school.

• School Closed 18/01/2023

  Dear Parents/Guardians,

   

  Due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions, school will remain closed today. The conditions have not improved as we had hoped and there is still a lot of snow and ice present. A yellow weather warning does remain in place for today until 12 noon so please take care and stay safe.

• Sacramental Prepartion Talk for Parents/Guardians of Year 4 pupils

  Dear Parents/Guardians,

   

  A Sacramental Talk will be held for all parents/guardians of those pupils in Year 4 who will be preparing to make their First Confession and First Holy Communion. This will take place on Monday 23rd January at 7pm in the school assembly hall.

• After School Clubs Timetable Term 2

  Dear Parents/Guardians,

   

  Please see the new updated After School Club timetable for Term 2 which is now available via the Newsletter section.

   

  All Clubs recommence week beginning Monday 9th January 2023.

   

  New members to all clubs are welcome!

   

  Please note:

  **Art Club and Cookery are both FULL for this term.

  **Skill School Dance/Multi Skill places should be booked directly with Skill School.

  **There are only 4 weeks of Irish left due to 2 in this block being completed before Christmas.

   

  If your child wishes to join a club which they have not previously signed up for, please send an email to the info@ account stating club, child's name and year group.

• Open Days/Nights for Year 6 and 7 pupils

  There are a number of Open Days taking place over the next few weeks for Y6 pupils and Y7 pupils in preparation for transition to Post-Primary.

   

  Below is a list of the opening evenings taking place this month in order of date.

  *St Mary’s College - Saturday 7th Jan, 10am-1pm

  *St. Cecilia’s College - Thursday 12th Jan, 5pm-8pm

  *Oakgrove Integrated College - Thursday 12th Jan, 4:30pm-7pm

  *St. Joseph’s Boys School - Friday 13th Jan, 10:30am-3:00pm

  *St. Brigid’s College, Cairnhill - Thursday 19th Jan, 5pm-8pm

  *St. Patrick’s and St. Brigid’s Claudy - Thursday 19th Jan, 7:00-9:15pm

• Welcome Back to School January 2023

  We wish all our families and the wider school community a very Happy New Year! We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow, Thursday 5th January.

   

  ⭐Breakfast Club opens from 8am as normal

   

  ⭐AR/My Maths Club open in the morning as normal

   

  ⭐All other clubs will recommence from Monday 9th January and a message will be sent to parents over the next few days via the app about these.
