  • Documentation required for Post Primary Application Forms

    Mon 22 Jan 2024

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

In an effort to make the completion of Post Primary application forms less stressful for you, I have included a list of documents that you require when submitting your application.

If you are completing your application form independently from school, please ensure that you read the Admission Criteria for each school carefully and complete your form exactly as they have stipulated. Some schools have been very precise with this and others not so it will depend on schools chosen. You must record how you meet criteria clearly.

If you have made an appointment with myself, I can double check all of this for you and complete the form online with you. Please ensure you have your login details for the EA portal and if you have not registered, please register before attending the meeting with myself.

Documents that you all will need at the application stage:

    1) Long Birth Certificate is required
    2) TWO documents to serve as proof of address which can be two of the following: a bank/post office/credit union/building society statement, a current utility bill, Child Benefit/Tax Credit award, the child's medical card or an addressed pay slip
    3) A copy of the child's SEAG results 'STATEMENT OF OUTCOMES' (if they sat this test) which needs to be printed from the SEAG Parent Portal
    4) A letter from school to state your child is 'ELDEST CHILD/GIRL/BOY' if this criteria applies to your school choice (this can be provided by myself)

We are currently checking school records to see if we have originals of any long birth certificates for your child and if this is the case we will let you know as soon as possible.

Tuesday 30th January is now fully booked for meetings but there is availability on other days if anyone wishes to speak to me or have help with the process.

If anyone has any other queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Kind Regards,

    Mrs Louise Cunning

  • Important Update regarding Friday 19th January

    Thu 18 Jan 2024

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

After a robust risk assessment and continual monitoring of current conditions, I am taking the decision to close school tomorrow in the interest of health and safety to all: parents, pupils and staff.

We will reopen as normal on Monday, all being well.

    Kind Regards,

    Mrs Louise Cunning

  • Weather Update: Friday 19th January

    Thu 18 Jan 2024

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

The weather forecast for tomorrow is supposed to be similar to that of today and the yellow weather warning remains in place. Icy roads and footpaths are expected and due to the ongoing industrial action, gritting will not be taking place as rigorously as it usually would.

I am continually risk assessing the situation and various health and safety factors will need to be considered in order to determine whether or not school will be safe to open in the morning. The safety and well-being of all pupils and staff is paramount.

I will continue to monitor the situation and will send an updated message either later this evening or early tomorrow morning to inform you of the decision taken.

    Kind Regards,

    Mrs Louise Cunning
